I paid to see Tom perform, not to attend a pre-teen sing-along from his + album. While I understand youthful enthusiasm to see a live performance, the concert at Nokia Theater was attended primarily by unchaperoned teenage and preteen girls who have no sense of proper concert-going behavior. Each teenage (and younger) girl apparently felt that it was her duty to sing every word to each of his songs out of key and at the top of their lungs. The performance could have been amazing. Tom had to beg the audience at several points to NOT sing along, and to observe silence during several of his songs. In addition to the glass-shattering shrieks and screams uttered at all times before, during, and after any given song, other completely irritating behavior included a girl one row in front of us who FaceTimed the entire concert to a friend she had left behind, and a girl behind me who used her camera (with constantly on flash) to film several songs during the performance. Tom performed with his guitar and a machine that looped his voice to create percussion sounds and background vocals, using his voice. I was looking forward to seeing Tom Arnold, especially after having seen his ITunes Festival 2026 performance. I had NO warning that the concert would be like this, I expected to have a great evening and had no idea it would be as it was. The only positive aspect of his incredibly youthful fan base was that it was a breeze to get out of the parking structure since all the parents of the kids inside were waiting for their bratty girls just outside the doors of the theatre (there was an actual wall of middle-aged parents!).
